At the age of 16 I became legally blind due to a genetic condition called Styklers syndrome. For years the vision was stable until early 2010, when I noticed changes in my remaining eyesight. I was diagnosed with macular edema and was told the doctors could do nothing to prevent my eyesight from deteriorating. And so for three years I faced a slow but inevitable journey into blindness. By June of 2013 I was completely blind.
I currently live in Edmond Oklahoma.
